The GLP-1 Playbook

Everything you were not told about doing this properly.

You already know it is not a magic pill. You already know you are meant to protect your muscle and eat your protein. You had that handled before you finished your first box. This is the part underneath. The four weeks that decide whether the result you are paying for is a result you get to keep.

The part nobody answers

You have done the homework. This is the D, E and F.

A, B and C you already know. It is D, E and F keeping you up at two in the morning. These are the four questions my patients actually ask me, and they are the four questions this course was built to answer.

The exit

What actually happens when you stop, and how do you come off without watching the weight walk straight back on.

The side effects

Why the constipation, the reflux and the nausea will not budge, and how to settle them at the root instead of living on laxatives and willpower.

What the scale cannot show you

Why your hair is thinning and your energy is flat while the scale is doing exactly what you wanted, and what your body is quietly running short of.

The dose

How to have a real conversation with your prescriber about your dose, instead of being moved up a protocol you did not choose.

The injection is the most expensive part of your weight loss and the smallest part of your strategy. It quietens your appetite. It does not decide whether you keep your muscle, calm your gut, hold your result, or step off well. You do. What you have been missing is not effort. It is a plan you can actually follow.

Everything included

What you get for R1 800

The complete course as it was taught live, plus every workbook, tracker, list and script that came with it.

01

Four full video modules

The complete four week course, filmed and ready to watch. Week One through Week Four, taught by a Registered Dietician, not a content creator.

02

Four participant field journals

A full workbook for every week. Trackers, prompts, checklists and reference pages. Print them or fill them in on screen.

03

The complete food exchange lists

Lean protein, healthy fats, starches, non starchy vegetables, fruit and dairy, with the portion sizes that make swapping automatic.

04

Your personal protein calculator

Worked out in the journal from your own numbers, so you stop guessing at what adequate protein means for you.

05

The side effect decoder

Every common side effect mapped to its mechanical root, the lever you control, and the clinical support to raise with your dietician.

06

The strength protocol

Two to three short resistance sessions a week, no gym required, laid out as a weekly pattern you can shift to fit your life.

07

The prescriber conversation scripts

The exact questions to ask about your dose, about holding, about tapering and about stopping. Written out so nothing gets lost in the room.

08

The weaning readiness check

An honest seven point assessment of whether you are ready to come off, and the maintenance blueprint that protects your result.

09

Bloods and supplement checklists

What to review with your dietician at every stage, so the nutrient gaps get caught before your hair and your energy tell you about them.

10

Instant, lifetime access

Everything unlocks the moment you pay. Watch at your pace, rewatch as often as you need, and come back to it whenever your dose or your circumstances change.

The curriculum

Four weeks, four decisions that matter

Each week builds on the one before it. Watch them at your pace, but watch them in order. The information in the first has to be cemented in before the next one will land.

Week One

Know Your Game

How the medicine actually works, and the real scoreboard: fat down, muscle defended. This is where you stop letting the bathroom scale run your week.

  • What the medicine does, and what is still yours to do
  • The real scoreboard: FAT loss versus SCALE weight
  • Setting an honest baseline you can measure against
  • What the landmark trials actually showed
  • Progress beyond the scale: brain, heart, liver, kidneys, blood sugar
  • White, brown and beige fat, and the habits that tip the balance
  • Mapping your symptoms: energy, sleep, digestion, hair, mood
  • The bloods to put in front of your dietician
Week Two

Feed the Engine

Eating to strip fat and defend muscle. Eating protein is not the same as absorbing it, and this is the week that difference gets fixed.

  • Calculating your own personal protein target
  • Protein first, and why the order of your plate matters
  • Absorption: chewing, pacing, enzymes and stomach acid
  • The full food exchange system, taught properly
  • Lean protein, fats, starches, vegetables, fruit and dairy portions
  • Building your day, meal by meal, from your own numbers
  • Practising the swap so it becomes automatic
  • The nutrients hiding behind your weight loss
Week Three

Fix the Friction

Side effects at the root, and the movement that keeps your muscle. Almost every side effect traces back to one thing: the medicine slows your gut.

  • The side effect decoder: root cause, your lever, clinical support
  • Constipation, reflux and nausea handled at the mechanism
  • What to raise with your dietician (magnesium, enzymes, motility)
  • Eating around the side effects on the bad days
  • Strength that signals, with no gym required
  • Two to three short sessions a week, laid out for you
  • Body composition as the non-negotiable metric
  • The early warning signs of muscle loss, and sleep and stress as levers
Week Four

Own the Exit

Dose strategy, the prescriber conversation, and weaning without the rebound. This is the week almost nobody gets given, and the reason most results do not hold.

  • The logic of the dose: titrate by response, not by calendar
  • Why the lowest effective dose beats the highest available
  • The dose and symptom tracker to take to your appointment
  • Your self monitoring log between visits
  • Exactly what to ask your prescriber, written out for you
  • The weaning readiness check, worked through honestly
  • Tapering versus stopping, and the low maintenance dose option
  • Your maintenance blueprint and what to do first if your waist creeps up

The field journals

Four workbooks. Not a folder of PDFs.

Every week comes with its own participant field journal. Trackers you fill in, prompts you answer honestly, checklists you take to your appointments, and reference pages you will still be using a year from now.

Please do not skip this part. Doing is what brings the results, not just knowing. You will look back at your Week One answers at the end and see exactly how far you have come.

Human biology is not a microwave. The results that last are slower, and they are worth it. Dalene Rottier RD, IFNCP

Honest fit

Who this is for

This is you

  • You are already on a GLP-1 or GIP medication and want a stronger, better protected result
  • You are considering starting and want to set yourself up properly from day one
  • You are planning to come off and are frightened of the rebound
  • You have read the articles, watched the videos, and still have the important questions unanswered
  • You want to walk into your prescriber's room as a partner, not a passenger

This is not you

  • You are looking for a meal plan to follow without understanding why
  • You want someone to tell you the medicine alone will do the work
  • You are not willing to open the workbook and fill it in
  • You want a diagnosis or a prescription, which is your doctor's job and not mine

Who is teaching you

Dalene Rottier RD, IFNCP

I am a Registered Dietician and Functional Nutrition Practitioner with twenty three years of clinical experience and more than four thousand patients behind me. I work with the complicated cases, the ones where the usual answers have already been tried and have not worked.

I did not build this course from a textbook. I built it from the questions my patients kept bringing me after they had already read everything they could find. The medication is doing its job. The plan around it is what almost nobody is giving them.

I will fight with you for your health. I will not fight instead of you for it. That is what this course is: the plan, in your hands, so you walk your GLP-1 journey like the person in charge of it. Which you are.

Before you ask

Questions I get every week

Do I have to be on the medication already?

No. The course works whether you are already on a GLP-1, still deciding, or planning your exit. Week One asks you to tick which of the three you are, and everything after that applies to all three.

When does it start?

It does not start. It is already there. The moment your payment goes through you get access to all four weeks, both the videos and the workbooks. Watch the whole thing this weekend or take a week at a time. That choice is yours.

How long do I have access?

Indefinitely. Your dose changes, your circumstances change, and the week you need most today is not the week you will need most in six months. Come back to it as often as you like.

Is this a replacement for my doctor or my dietician?

No, and it does not pretend to be. I do not prescribe and I do not diagnose. Every dose and stopping decision is made with your prescriber. What this course does is make you the informed partner in that conversation instead of the passenger.

Will this work if I am in perimenopause?

Yes, and it matters that you asked. Women are not small men, and the muscle, protein and absorption work in this course is exactly what protects a midlife body through a period of rapid weight loss.

What if I am not very technical?

You need to be able to press play and open a PDF. That is all. The workbooks are designed to be printed and written in by hand if that suits you better.

Can I claim this from medical aid?

The course itself is an educational product and is not claimable. One on one consultations with me are claimable, and medical aids typically refund around 75 percent of the fee.

Come and do this like the person in charge of it

Because you are. Not more information. A proper plan, from someone who has spent twenty three years working out what the textbooks left out.
